According to government and health professionals, a terrorist killed an estimated six people, including himself and other two high ranking police officers at a police headquarters in Mogadishu's Waberi district on Sunday dusk.
Ahmed Bashane, Waberi district administration commissioner, and Abdi Basid, deputy commanding officer of Waliyow Adde law enforcement department were amongst the killed in the explosion according to Somali police official Sadik Aden Ali."We can confirm that the suicide bomb attack killed six people so far this evening, including two senior police officers, three soldiers, and a neighbor," Ali said.
Huge blast
The body count may increase, according to credible reports because the explosion was large as there was several people in the area at the moment of that incident Amin Emergency management Abdikadir Abdirrahman Haji Aden said to Xinhua over mobile which his group discovered four corpses and transported three wounded persons to the emergency centre.
According to eyewitness, the explosion was massive and sparked distress within the locals. The blast happened despite heavy guard in Mogadishu and its surrounding areas, with officers erecting extra barriers throughout the area to guarantee the protection of citizens who really are fasting during Ramadan. The new incident was not immediately claimed as a result of a presumption of accountability.
